Edward, Emily and Beaky are all doing well and utilising the food provision sites. Beaky and Edward seem to have found each other again and have been together for the last week or so (see bottom picture). In the top picture, Emily is 'mantling' over her food, a behaviour common to raptors in which they 'shield' their prey with their wings. The photo also nicely shows the amount of white present on a young eagles tail feathers.

Eagle Schools has landed at Yarrow Primary School in the Yarrow Valley. Alongside Kirkhope Primary School from the Ettrick Valley, primary ones to primary sevens all joined together for the first session of what is set to be a fun-filled, fast paced 10-week programme.
BBC News featured the project on the National News last night - including a video taken by Eagle Officer John (during one of his regular and very distant monitoring sessions) of young Beaky being mobbed by two Buzzards as she enjoys her freedom in the Moffat Hills.
