All the translocated eagles continue to do well, the 6 juveniles released in summer 2022 have now moved away from the release site and all are now hunting for themselves.
Eagles from previous summer and winter releases are exploring the southern skies and investigating feeding grounds and potential territories.
H03, 'Thistle', a male golden eagle, was the first chick to be collected in the 2022 season. Thistle came from RSPB Abernethy reserve in the Scottish Highlands.

Meet Aleen (formerly 'Biter'). During the winter of 2021, seven sub-adult eagles were translocated by the South of Scotland Golden Eagle Project working with Dave and Graeme Anderson in an effort to support the growing population in the south of the country.
