Alixe and Fergus are both eagles translocated as subadults from the Outer Hebrides to southern Scotland under the project’s research licence. We have an update on both sat tags:
The Moffat 2024 Golden Eagle Festival is less than 2 weeks away and is shaping up to the best yet!
Clyde, a three year old male golden eagle, was translocated as a subadult under a research licence from the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides this winter. Clyde, named after the river – that has its origins in Southern Scotland, was satellite tagged shortly before his release in early February 2024 in the Lammermuir hills.
The Moffat Golden Eagle Festival will return in 2024. The dates for this year's festival are:
